About Us

Lance LouisA Message From Our CEO

Every day, I wake up grateful for the privilege to be part of extending the family legacy of Louis Industries and the great work we do as a team. Some of my fondest memories revolve around the incredible employees and lifelong customer relationships that are such an important part of Louis Industries. As we celebrate our 83rd year in business, we look ahead to becoming a century-old company and beyond, to the next hundred years.

This vision for 100 years shapes and guides our philosophy as a company.  As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on a basic set of core values; long-term strategic planning for success, and a dedicated workforce, employed for life. These values are instilled in everything we do, as we strive to be the premier steel fabricator in the upper Midwest, and seek employees, customers, and suppliers who share in our vision and values.

Whether you’ve been with us for many years, are new to the company, or are considering joining our family of employees or customers, you should come to expect our dedication to creating a long-term culture of success and know you are a big part of that. From hiring great employees to investing and training in the latest technology, and every step of the way, helping our diverse customers by delivering on our promise of Steel… Done… Right!

Thank you, and welcome to Louis Industries.

Lance Louis, President & CEO

Louis Industries is the leading sheet metal fabricator in the upper midwest. Our commitment to providing our partners with high quality craftsmanship is evident in everything we produce. We combine the latest technologies and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the highest accuracy in the design, cutting, and forming of all products. We are dedicated to being your one-stop-shop capable of fabricating one piece custom parts to full production runs. From simple shearing runs to fully powder coated completed production, we are ready to take your project all the way from engineering to delivery. Our highly skilled team carries many years of experience that demands the craftsmanship you expect.

Safety

At Louis Industries, we are committed to the safety of employees. Our mandatory annual safety trainings are yearly reminders and updates to our safety policies and procedures. We also routinely provide hearing tests for our employees to ensure sound levels are being managed in our facility. Forklift and crane recertifications are always up-to-date and held at high standards. We keep a clean and detailed safety record and always practice 5S organization techniques to decrease the chance for injury.

Solar Energy Powered

We understand that facilities like Louis Industries are hubs of activity. With our wide variety of processes used every day, a considerable amount of energy is needed to continue producing top quality projects. The average factory in the United States consumes 95.1 kilowatt-hours of electricity per square foot annually, which is at least 10 times the amount of electricity used in the typical American home.

With this in mind, we pledged to help reduce our carbon footprint. To do so, we equipped our facility with one of Minnesota’s largest rooftop solar displays. We are now utilizing more than 1,200 solar panels to power our production. Check out the video below to see a glimpse of our technologically advanced energy saver.
